Bok Choy #Recipe

I've always been somewhat afraid of bok choy.  It seems so foreboding.  I mean look at it!  How do you cook or clean it?  After my first attempt, I can tell you it is actually easy and the results were delicious.


Rinse the bok choy well.  Cut off the base - about half and inch or so.

Separate the ribs and wash each one in the sink.  Then chop into 1 inch pieces.  Next time I will probably chop them into even smaller pieces.  Heat some olive oil on medium high heat in a wok.  Toss in the bok choy, salt and fresh ground pepper and cook.  Enjoy as a side.  Next time I think I will chop it into smaller chunks that what is pictured below.

    I made a pepper steak like stir fry and used bok choy instead of peppers. It was good! I did slice mine up way smaller but cleaned it the same way. It was my first time using bok choy too.

    I was in the grocery store this week and almost picked up some bok choy b/c I've been wanting to try cooking with it. I ended up not getting any because I really wasn't sure how I'd cook it. So this is great! Sounds super easy! Am excited to try this new recipe soon. Thx for sharing!
