Homemade Honey Mustard Vinaigrette Dressing #Recipe

Thursday, August 25, 2011 Posted by Aleksandra Nearing

My inspiration came from a recipe I saw this in an issue of Rachel Ray's magazine.  I tweaked it a little - we prefer more vinegar in our dressing.

2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup white or red wine vinegar (I used plain old salad vinegar)
1 tablespoon deli mustard
1 teaspoon honey
salt and pepper to taste
1 jar or cruet to mix it all in

My ingredients...I had to use the salad vinegar since I was out of white wine vinegar.  Must pick some up!  (PS local honey is said to help with seasonal allergies.  Not sure if that's true but we always buy local.)

Shake them all up in your jar.  Stores easily in the fridge for re-mixing. I don't think I can purchase pre-made dressing again!

I'm a big believer in homemade dressings, too. They're so simple and SO much better than the store bought stuff. This looks like a great formula.
